About the tuition
My name is Gary White and I have been teaching Geography to A-level and IB students online for many years. I work entirely 1-to-1, which means every lesson is built around you — your exam board, your weaknesses, your pace. A-level Geography covers a lot of ground: physical geography, human geography, fieldwork, and increasingly complex case studies. Whether you are struggling with tectonic hazards, global systems, or the synoptic paper, I can help you get to grips with the material and, more importantly, how to answer exam questions effectively.

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
Which A-level Geography exam boards do you cover?▼
I cover all major UK exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and WJEC. Get in touch and let me know which board your school uses — lessons are always tailored to your specific specification.
How do online lessons work?▼
We use a video call platform (Teams) combined with a shared digital workspace. You do not need any special equipment — just a laptop or tablet and a decent internet connection. It works just as well as in-person tuition, and my students are based all over the UK and internationally.
How much does A-level Geography tuition cost?▼
Please get in touch directly for current rates. I work directly with families — there is no third-party platform involved, which means no commission fees are added to your bill. You pay me directly, simply and transparently.
When can tuition start?▼
I take on new students at the start of each academic year (September) and occasionally mid-year if a space becomes available. I would recommend getting in touch in August to discuss availability for the autumn term — spaces fill up quickly.
Do you tutor international students?▼
Yes — I have students based in Hong Kong, mainland China, the UAE and other Gulf States, as well as across Europe. As long as we can find a suitable time zone overlap, distance is no barrier at all.
My child is struggling — is it too late to start?▼
It is rarely too late. Whether your child is in Year 12 wanting to get ahead, or in Year 13 facing upcoming exams, targeted 1-to-1 support can make a real difference. Get in touch and we can have an honest conversation about what is achievable.
